A pedicure is done to improve the look and feel of the skin and nails on the feet by removing callus and dry skin, also cleaning, strengthening, making sure nails are an appropriate length.

We use disposable liners for our pedicure stations. These liners are one-time use and don't clutter up our landfill as they are recyclable. The chairs and stations are still disinfected between each client to ensure proper health and safety for our clients. We are excited to be using the best protection measures available in the industry to date.
Disposable Nail Polish Brush
Available for regular nail polish - no double dipping allowed!
At Five Senses we have always valued your health, we pride ourselves on being clean and sanitary. We’ve decided to go take the next step and use a disposable brush system for your added safety with our nail polish. Due to the viscosity of shellac, veneer and gel polishes, the disposable brush system can't be used, but as an added precaution and for the health of your nails we do not use shellac or veneer on toes.
Disposable brushes were created by a Podiatrist, Julie, in Sudbury Ontario. She realized that when working in a spa even if you do all the correct steps to prevent infection there’s no way to sterilize nail polish. By creating this system she provided us the chance to 100% guarantee your safety when applying polish. Base, colour and topcoat are poured into a ceramic dish which is properly sterilized and brush disposed of after each use. Cross-contamination will never be an issue.
It’s recommended to avoid wearing polish when you have fungus, but for those who chose to wear it, we can safely polish you with a choice of over one hundred colours! If you have fungus we use a separate disposable brush for those toes affected as to not spread it.
For those without fungus, we still use this system so you stay fungus-free!
Diabetic Pedicure
Safety and wellness is our priority.
We understand many people have concerns surrounding being diabetic and receiving pedicures. We always make sure to ask our clients if they are diabetic before starting a manicure or pedicure. Treatment can still be performed with slight modifications. Cuticles will be pushed back gently as to not cause micro-tears in the skin, buffing will be done to remove excess cuticles instead of trimming with cuticle clippers. We analyze the foot more in-depth as well to check for any abnormalities caused by diabetes.
Our Estheticians have been thoroughly trained to perform pedicure treatments safely on clients with many health concerns. If there is a specific health concern you have let us know and we can modify treatments to suit your needs.

Express Pedicure

Our Express Pedicure begins with the cuticles being pushed back and the dead cuticles are removed. The nails are then shaped to prevent any trauma or ingrown nails. The callus is removed from the feet using a non-reusable paddle. A clear coat can be applied if desired.

Pedicure

Our Pedicure commences with cuticles being pushed back and the removal of any dead cuticles and hangnails. The nails are then shaped to help prevent any ingrowns or trauma to the nails. Callus is removed from the feet using a non-reusable paddle, followed by an exfoliating scrub to remove any remaining dry skin. A moisturizer is applied and then followed by a light massage using a hot stone on the foot to help promote further relaxation and to hydrate the skin. Nails are polished with the desired colour from our wide selection of polishes.

Signature Pedicure
You deserve extra pampering!
Our Signature Pedicure gives you the extra attention and pampering you deserve. Exfoliation is extended to the full lower leg. The pampering continues with a light hot stone massage. A paraffin treatment is applied to the feet to help further relax and hydrate the skin. The toes are then polished using a colour from our wide selection of nail polishes.
